- The B25, B30C, B50C, B63C, B75C contactors for switching capacitors (hereinafter referred to as contactors) are mainly suitable for connecting and disconnecting in the compensation circuit with AC 50Hz and rated voltage 380V. They are used to switch power capacitors to adjust the power factor of the power supply system. The contactors have the ability to suppress inrush current, making the inrush current peak during connection not greater than 20 times the rated working current. The applicable working conditions are the same as those of the B - series contactors. The B25C - B75C contactors for switching capacitors are derived from the B - series AC contactor products, so their technical performance indicators, except for mechanical life, are the same as those of the B - series AC contactors with the same current specification. This product adopts a special auxiliary contact and current - limiting and forced discharge resistor assembled on the side of the contactor. When a capacitor is put into use, the auxiliary contact with the current - limiting resistor closes first, limiting the charging inrush current of the capacitor within 20 times the rated current In of the capacitor. Then, the main contact of the contactor closes, limiting the surge current appearing for the second time within 20 times. This structure is more economical than the previously used "contactor + current - limiting reactor" as it omits a set of contactors and reactors, resulting in significant savings in investment costs. This type of contactor abandons the forced discharge resistor of the C116 and C119 series contactors, which caused the problem of excessive residual voltage of the capacitor during the second switching, leading to the burning of the contactor's inrush current resistor and contact welding. It is equipped with a forced discharge resistor. When the capacitor running with the contactor is disconnected from the power grid, the normally closed contact of the contactor's special auxiliary contact closes, short - circuiting and discharging the capacitor through the forced discharge resistor, ensuring that the residual voltage of the capacitor during the second re - release is not greater than 50V, meeting the technical conditions, and avoiding the burnout of the current - limiting resistor and the welding of the contactor's main contacts. The B25C - B75C contactors for switching capacitors with 5 current specifications have advanced and novel designs, high working reliability, and high technical and economic indicators, and are indispensable components in capacitor compensation cabinets.
