Scope of Application and Executive Standards
- RMK series AC contactors are suitable for connecting and disconnecting circuits in power systems with a main circuit rated voltage of AC 50Hz or 60Hz, a rated voltage of up to 660V, and a rated current of 1000A. They can be combined with appropriate thermal overload relays to form motor starters to protect circuits that may be overloaded.
JS Mechanical Latching Device
- Under normal circumstances, the working principle of a contactor is that the movement of the electromagnetic system drives the mechanism to close the contacts and connect the circuit. To keep the contacts closed, the electromagnetic system must be continuously energized, which is the so-called energy consumption of the contactor. Reducing the energy consumption of contactors is a common goal pursued by manufacturers and users.
- The structural characteristics of the JS series latching device determine that it can reduce the energy consumption of the contactor by more than 90%.
Functions and Uses
- The JS series latching device (hereinafter referred to as JS) is a mechanical latching device, which can be configured on the corresponding contactor. When the electromagnetic system of the contactor is energized and the contacts are closed, JS immediately latches the mechanism part of the contactor in the closed position of the contacts. At the same time, the electromagnetic system of the contactor can cut off the power supply, and the contactor is in a non-energy-consuming working state; if you want to open the circuit, you can trigger the unlocking mechanism of JS to make the contacts of the contactor quickly return to the open position.
- JS is especially suitable for workplaces that need to be energized for a long time, such as pump stations, ventilation, lighting, etc. The longer the working time, the better the energy-saving effect. After configuring JS, the contactor can also operate silently.
- This device is not recommended for frequent and regular operation occasions.
