Compliance with Standards
- IEC 60947-2, Appendix B
- IEC 60755, Type A, with immunity to DC components (max. 6mA)
- Operating temperature down to -25°C according to VDE 664
Remote Indication
- The VigiPacT earth leakage protection module can be equipped with an auxiliary contact (SDV), enabling remote transmission of tripping caused by an earth leakage fault to a terminal.
4-Pole VigiPacT Earth Leakage Protection Module for 3-Pole ComPacT NSX Circuit Breakers
- For installations with 3 phases and non-interrupted neutral, a 4-pole VigiPacT earth leakage protection module can be used by adding an accessory for neutral cable connection.
Power Supply
- The VigiPacT earth leakage protection module is self-powered internally from the distribution system, requiring no external power supply. It functions correctly even with only two-phase supply.
Function
- The Vigirex relay measures the earth leakage current in the electrical installation via its associated toroidal current transformer.
- Vigirex relays can be used for:
- Residual current protection (RH10, RH21, RH68, RH86, RH99)
- Earth leakage monitoring (RMH or M99)
- Residual current protection and earth leakage monitoring (RH197, RHUs).
Residual Current Protection Relays
- Protection relays control the interruption of the monitored system's power supply to prevent:
- Indirect and direct electric shock to personnel
- Fire hazards to property
- Damage to motors
- When the set residual operating current IΔn is exceeded, the relay can trigger the associated circuit breaker to trip.
- For RH197, a bar graph composed of 4 LED indicators shows levels corresponding to 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% of IΔn.
- For RHUs and RHMU, the leakage current value is displayed digitally.
- Circuit breaker tripping can be instantaneous or time-delayed.
- Protection relays can store residual current faults in memory. After clearing the fault and manually resetting the output contacts, the relay can be used again.
Earth Leakage Monitoring Relays
- These relays monitor the degradation of electrical insulation due to aging cables or connectors in the installation. By continuously measuring leakage current, preventive maintenance on faulty circuits can be planned. An increase in leakage current can lead to the complete shutdown of the installation.
- Displays leakage current:
- For RMH, the leakage current value is displayed digitally.
Vigirex relays can be used for protection and maintenance at all levels in an installation. Depending on the relay model, they can be used in TT, IT, or TNS low-voltage AC installations (max. voltage 1000V, frequency 50/60Hz).
SDx Module for ELCB [1]
- The SDx module is suitable for ELCB [1].
- The SDx module can be used with MicroLogic equipped circuit breakers.
- This module has 2 sets of Form C (1 NO + 1 NC) output dry contacts, assignable to the following functions:
- Overload Alarm (SDT105): Current above 105% of the set current (Ir)
- Overload Trip Indication (SD): Circuit breaker tripped due to overload fault
- Earth Leakage Alarm (SDV80): Earth leakage current above 80% of the earth leakage current threshold (IΔn)
- Earth Leakage Trip Indication (SDV): Circuit breaker tripped due to earth leakage fault
- Outputs automatically reset when the alarm condition clears or the circuit breaker is reset.
Output Characteristics (SDx Module)
- 2 NO/NC dry contacts
- 24..250V AC/DC
- 0.2..5A max.
- AC15 (230V max.)
- DC13 (24V - 50V)
Power Supply Characteristics (SDx Module)
- 24...240V AC/DC
Installation and Connection (SDx Module)
- The SDx module clips onto the right side of the circuit breaker.
