Standards

- 3RT6/3RT5 contactors have passed climate testing and are suitable for any climatic conditions worldwide.
- When the environment in which the equipment is applied is different from the standard industrial environment (specified in EN 60721 - 3 - 3), the impact of the environment on the product's reliability and service life should be considered, and corresponding protective measures should be taken. If necessary, please contact Siemens technical support.
- 3RT6/3RT5 contactors have the “finger protection” function specified in EN 50274.
Adding Auxiliary Contacts
- S00 - sized contactors integrate 1 auxiliary contact (1NO or 1NC) in the body.
- S0 - sized contactors integrate 2 auxiliary contacts (1NO + 1NC) in the body.
- S2/S3 - sized contactors have no integrated auxiliary contacts in the body.
- S6/S10/S12 - sized contactors integrate 4 auxiliary contacts (2NO + 2NC) in the body.
- Contactors of all sizes can be further added with removable auxiliary contact blocks.
- S00/S0/S2/S6/S10/S12 sizes can have a maximum of 4 more contacts added.
- S3 size can have a maximum of 8 more contacts added.
- For all sizes, the number of normally closed contacts shall not exceed 4.
Contact Reliability
- Can be switched when the voltage does not exceed 110 V or the current does not exceed 100 mA. The auxiliary contacts on 3RT6/3RT5 contactors or 3RH61 intermediate relays have extremely high reliability.
- These contacts also meet the requirements for static circuit use, with a minimum switching current of 1 mA at 17 V voltage.
Motor Reference Power
- The motor power mentioned in the sample is the reference motor shaft output power (according to the nameplate).
Rated Control Voltage
- All contactors have models operated by DC or AC. For S6 to S12 sizes, the contactor coils are of AC/DC universal type (AC 40... 60 Hz, DC).
Surge Suppression
- 3RT6/3RT5 contactors can provide four types of surge suppressors: RC absorption, varistors, suppression diodes, and diode combinations (Zener diode and diode combination) for suppressing coil surges.
- For S6 to S12 sizes, the contactor coils have integrated varistor - type surge suppressors.
