Series Overview
Product Overview
- The CJ40 series AC contactors (hereinafter referred to as contactors) are mainly used for AC 50Hz or 60Hz, with a rated voltage of up to 660V.
- In power systems with currents up to 1000A, they are used to connect and disconnect circuits. They can be combined with appropriate thermal relays or electronic protection devices to form motor starters to protect circuits that may be overloaded.
- Comply with standards: GB 14048.4, IEC 60947 - 4 - 1, and GB 21518.
Product Parameters
- Operating conditions: Pick - up voltage: (85% - 110%) Us; Release voltage: For AC type (20% - 75%) Us, for DC type (10% - 75%) Us.
- Coil control power supply voltage Us: AC 50Hz, 36V, 127V, 220V, 380V; Type J: 110V, 220V; Type J2: 220V, 380V.
- Mechanical service life: 10 million times for below 250A, 6 million times for 315 - 500A, 3 million times for 630 - 1000A.
Normal Operating and Installation Conditions
- Ambient air temperature: - 5°C ~ + 40°C, with the average value within 24 hours not exceeding + 35°C.
- Altitude: Not exceeding 2000m.
- Atmospheric conditions: When the maximum temperature is + 40°C, the relative humidity of the air does not exceed 50%; higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures, for example, reaching 90% at 20°C. Special measures should be taken for condensation occasionally generated due to temperature changes.
- Pollution level: Level 3.
- Installation category: Category III.
- Installation conditions: The inclination between the installation surface and the vertical plane is not more than ± 5°.
- Shock and vibration: The product should be installed and used in a place without significant shaking, impact, and vibration.
Structural Features
- The contactor has a direct - acting structure. The contact arc - extinguishing system is located at the upper part, and the electromagnetic system is located at the lower part. The contacts are double - break contacts and made of silver alloy.
- Products of 63A and above have four or six pairs of auxiliary contacts.
- The arc - extinguishing covers of CJ40 - 63A and above products are made of flame - retardant plastics and iron sheets. On one hand, they overcome the disadvantage that clay arc - extinguishing covers are easy to break.
- On the other hand, they have the advantages of high breaking capacity and high reliability.
