How to monitor and feedback the speed of K3G series fans used in AHU projects
Fan speed feedback plays a vital role in ventilation systems, air conditioning systems and other ventilation industries. By real-time monitoring of speed, more precise control can be achieved to improve the efficiency and reliability of the system.
EBM's EC fan integrates a control system that can accurately adjust the speed and feedback the real-time status of the fan. There are many ways to feedback the speed, including RS485 communication feedback and 0-10V analog output feedback. This issue introduces the 0-10V analog output feedback method.
(IO2 is 0-10V input, IO3 is 0-10V output, RSA and RSB are RS485 communication feedback)
Take K3G450PA3103/F01 as an example to show the output voltage values at different speeds. The IO3 terminal defaults to 0-10V output, adjust the speed and measure the signal.

Characteristics and classification of axial flow fans
Axial flow fans are usually installed on the cabinets of electrical equipment, and sometimes integrated on the motor. Due to their compact structure, axial flow fans can save a lot of space and are easy to install, so they are widely used.
As the name implies, the airflow of the axial flow fan is axial movement. It is characterized by simple structure, low noise, large air volume, but can withstand low wind pressure. Therefore, the axial flow fan is suitable for ventilation and heat dissipation, which requires large air volume and low wind pressure.
According to the classification of wind direction: it can be divided into A (stator side to rotor side blowing) and V (rotor side to stator side blowing)
EBM has derived multiple series according to the structure of the axial flow fan:
Ebm A series: It is composed of motor plus blades
Ebm S series: It is composed of motor plus blades and mesh cover
Ebm W series: It is composed of motor plus blades and wind tube
A, S, W series fans are universal, and can also be equipped with accessories separately. For example, our friend's fan is S or W, with a mesh cover or wind tube. If the fan inside is broken, you can directly replace the A series motor plus blade fan, which can also save costs.
