HUW1 Series Intelligent Universal Circuit Breaker
Scope of Application
● HUW1 series intelligent universal circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as "the breaker") are suitable for AC 50Hz power distribution networks with rated working voltages up to 690V and rated currents up to 6300A. They are primarily used for power distribution, feeder protection, and generation protection to safeguard lines and power equipment from overload, undervoltage, overvoltage, current/voltage imbalance, short circuit, and grounding faults. Through load monitoring and zone interlocking functions, they enable rational operation of power grids. The breakers can also measure grid parameters such as current, voltage, power, frequency, energy consumption, demand, and harmonics at grid nodes. Additionally, they can directly provide overload, undervoltage, and short circuit protection for motors and generators.
● The breaker's core component adopts an intelligent controller, offering precise selective protection to avoid unnecessary power outages and enhance power supply reliability, continuity, and safety. It may also include an open communication interface to achieve "four remote functions" (telemetry, remote signaling, remote control, remote adjustment), meeting requirements of control centers and automated systems.
● Without the intelligent controller and current transformers, this series can function as isolators.
● The breakers support both top and bottom cable entry, making them suitable for power stations, factories, smart buildings, and other low-voltage distribution fields. They may also serve for infrequent motor starting.
● The derived models HUW1PVA and HUW1F have passed extreme high/low-temperature environmental tests and "three protections" (dustproof, waterproof, anti-corrosion) tests. They are applicable to 50Hz AC photovoltaic and wind power systems with rated voltages up to 690V and rated currents up to 3200A, providing distribution, feeder, and generation protection against electrical faults.
● Compliance: GB/T 14048.2 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear – Part 2: Circuit-breakers."

Normal Operating, Installation, and Transportation Conditions
● Normal operating conditions:
a) Ambient temperature: -5°C to +40°C (HUW1F and HUW1PVA: -40°C to +70°C), with 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C.
Note: For temperatures beyond these ranges, consult the manufacturer.
b) Installation altitude ≤2000m.
Note: For altitudes >2000m, consult the manufacturer.
c) Relative humidity ≤50% at +40°C. Higher humidity is allowable at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% max monthly average humidity at +20°C monthly average minimum temperature). Condensation must be addressed.
d) Pollution degree 3.
e) Main circuit installation category IV. For main circuit voltage ≤400V: Control/auxiliary circuits (except undervoltage release coils and controller primary coils) adopt installation category III. For 400V-690V systems: Isolate control/auxiliary circuits via transformers (max 400V, category III).
f) Suitable for electromagnetic environment A.
● Installation requirements:
a) Secure the breaker in switchgear cabinets using four M8 (1000A frame) or M10 (≥2000A frame) bolts. Ensure no mechanical stress affects contacts or components.
b) Install in non-explosive, dust-free, and non-corrosive environments.
c) Standard protection: IP20. With cabinet door frame: IP40.
● Storage and transportation:
a) Temperature range: -25°C to +55°C (HUW1F/HUW1PVA: -50°C to +85°C); relative humidity ≤95% at +25°C.
b) Handle with care during transportation. Avoid inversion, rolling, or severe impacts.
