Scope of Application
● The H8A series intelligent universal circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are suitable for AC 50Hz power distribution networks with rated operational voltages of 400V/690V and rated currents up to 6300A. They primarily serve for power distribution, feeder protection, and generator protection, safeguarding circuits and power equipment against overload, undervoltage, overvoltage, current/voltage imbalance, short circuit, and ground faults. Through load monitoring and zone interlocking functions, they enable rational grid operation. Additionally, they measure grid parameters including current, voltage, power, frequency, energy consumption, demand, and harmonics. They may also directly protect motors and generators against overload, undervoltage, and short circuits.
● The circuit breakers utilize intelligent controllers as core components, delivering precise selective protection to minimize unnecessary power outages and enhance grid reliability, continuity, and safety. Equipped with open communication interfaces, they support "four remote" functions (telemetry, telecommand, telesignaling, and teleadjustment) to meet the requirements of control centers and automation systems.
● When configured without intelligent controllers or current transformers, this series can operate as isolators.
● Suitable for both top and bottom entry connections, these circuit breakers are widely used in power stations, factories, smart buildings, and other low-voltage distribution fields. They may also serve for infrequent motor starting. Products comply with GB/T 14048.2 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear – Part 2: Circuit-breakers.

Normal Operating, Installation & Transportation Conditions
Normal Operating Conditions
● Ambient temperature range: -5℃ to +40℃, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35℃.
(Note: For environments exceeding these limits, consult the manufacturer.)
● Installation altitude ≤ 2000m.
(Note: For altitudes >2000m, consult the manufacturer.)
● Relative humidity:
- ≤ 50% at +40℃.
- Higher humidity permissible at lower temperatures (e.g., 90% maximum monthly average humidity at +20℃ minimum monthly average temperature). Mitigation measures are required for occasional condensation.
● Pollution degree: Level 3.
● Main circuit installation category:
IV.
- For main circuits rated ≤400V AC:
Control and auxiliary circuits are
Category III, except for undervoltage release coils and the primary coils of the intelligent controller’s power transformer, which match the main circuit category (
IV).
- For main circuits rated 400V–690V AC:
Control and auxiliary circuits must use isolation transformers to separate from the main circuit. These circuits have a maximum operating voltage of 400V AC and are classified as Category III.
● Suitable for
electromagnetic environment A.
Installation Requirements
● Secure the circuit breaker in switchgear using four M8 bolts (1600A frame) or M10 bolts (≥2500A frame) with washers. Ensure proper alignment without mechanical stress to prevent damage or poor busbar contact.
● Install in non-explosive environments free from conductive dust, corrosive substances, or conditions that degrade insulation.
● Standard protection rating:
IP20. When installed in enclosed cabinets with door frames, protection rating reaches
IP40.
Storage & Transportation
● Temperature range: -25℃ to +55℃. Relative humidity ≤ 95% at 25℃.
● Handle with care during transportation. Avoid inversion, rolling, or severe impacts.
