Series Overview
Series Overview
FuPact Operation Mode
- The FuPact series integrates the functions of control, isolation, and fuse carrier into one device. These functions can also be realized by combining different components.
- FuPact GS
Isolating Switch Disconnector Functions
- Load switching of the circuit. The speed and breaking capacity of this type of isolating switch disconnector operation have nothing to do with the specific operation of the operator (fast opening and closing, no manual operation required).
- Electrical contact indication isolation/visual isolation. When the disconnector is in the open position (OFF), the fuse can be completely isolated from the power circuit (double - break points).
- Short - circuit protection and overload protection of the power distribution circuit. The fuse installed inside the isolating switch disconnector can realize these protection functions.
- By using the specified color - coded safety or emergency stop for easy positioning (red/yellow rotary handle selection).
Solutions Combining Different Components
- By using the matching isolating switch and the fuse installed on the fuse carrier, it can protect the power distribution circuit and the motor. The functions provided by each component are:
- Load switching of the circuit (opening and closing) and isolation (isolating switch).
- Overload and short - circuit protection (fuse).
- Such a combination of components can realize the function of the Compact INS/INV 40 - 800A isolating switch.
Compliance with Standards
- FuPact disconnectors and their accessories comply with the following international standards and regulations:
- IEC 60947 - 1: General rules.
- IEC 60947 - 3: Switches, disconnectors, isolating switches, and combinations of disconnectors.
- IEC 60947 - 5.1 and below: Control circuit devices and switching elements, automatic control elements.
- These standards and regulations are applicable in most countries in the world.
- FuPact disconnectors and their accessories comply with European standards (EN 60947 - 1 and IEC 60947 - 3).
- FuPact is used in combination with industrial fuses and complies with the following standards:
- IEC 60269
- BS 88 (only for FuPact GS)
- DIN 43620 / VDE 0636
FuPact GS Isolating Switch Disconnector Applicable to Machine Tool Control
- Complies with IEC 60204 (EN 60204).
- Complies with the French national standard NF C 79 - 130 and the recommended applications issued by the CNOMO organization.
Environmental Endurance
- FuPact disconnectors can meet all environmental requirements specified by the following standards:
- IEC 60068 - 2 - 30: Damp heat test under air - conditioned conditions, 95% relative humidity at 55°C (damp heat temperature conditions).
- IEC 60068 - 2 - 52: Salt spray test, KB hardness 2 - level test.
- IEC 60068 - 2 - 56: Damp heat test under the condition that the equipment has not been operating for 48 hours, environmental category C2.
- In conclusion, FuPact disconnectors are suitable for all climatic environments.
Pollution Level
- FuPact disconnectors are certified and can operate in an environment with a pollution level of 3, which complies with the IEC 60947 standard for industrial environments.
Ambient Temperature
- The operating temperature range of FuPact disconnectors is - 20°C to + 70°C. When the temperature is higher than 40°C, the derating coefficient given must be used.
- The equipment must operate under the above ambient temperature conditions.
- The storage temperature range of FuPact disconnectors with original packaging should be - 50°C to + 85°C.
Protection Class
- For FuPact disconnectors with terminal covers, their direct contact protection class complies with IEC 60529 (IP protection class) and IEC 62262 standards:
- With direct rotary handle: IP20/K07
- With extended rotary handle (FuPact GS) : IP65/K10
- With extended rotary handle and padlock: IP65/K08
Contact Indication
- The IEC 60947 - 3 standard defines the isolation with contact indication as follows:
- The isolation position corresponds to the (OFF) position.
- Unless the main contact is actually open, otherwise the operating handle cannot indicate the OFF position.
- Unless the main contact is actually open, otherwise the handle cannot be locked in the OFF position.
- GS isolating switch disconnectors are suitable for isolation with contact indication.
- Installing an extension handle on GS will not change the nature of isolation.
- The mechanical type test certification of the isolation with contact indication function can ensure the following:
- The mechanical reliability of the contact indication system.
- There is no leakage situation.
- There is a voltage - withstanding capability between the incoming and outgoing line terminals.
