Applications
- Schneider Electric ComPacT INS/INV series isolating switches, with nearly 50 years of electrical experience focusing on customer needs, focusing on delicate and sophisticated quality, simple and ingenious design appearance, and safe and reliable product performance, are widely used in power distribution protection in fields such as residences, public buildings, civil buildings, and small - to - medium - sized industries.
Reverse Power Supply
- ComPacT INSm isolating switches can be powered (incoming line) via top or bottom terminals without derating for use.
Neutral Pole Position
- In Schneider Electric isolating switches, the neutral pole is usually placed on the left - hand side. In the INSm series, the 3 electrodes are the same, so only an appropriate label needs to be added to make the neutral pole located on the right - hand position.
Conductor Materials and Electric Force
- ComPacT isolating switches can be connected using bare tinned copper conductors, tinned copper conductors (soft or hard busbars, cables).
- In case of short - circuit, heat and electric force are exerted on the conductors. Therefore, the conductors must have sufficient dimensions and proper support.
- Note that the terminals of electrical equipment (isolating switches, contactors, current circuit breakers, etc.) should not be used to support the conductors.
