  • Meet isolation requirements; handle position can reliably indicate open and closed states
  • No derating required below 60°C
  • No derating for upper and lower incoming lines

Easy Installation and Maintenance

  • Only 6 sizes for the full - series products
  • Same size for 3 - pole/4 - pole products of the same specification
  • DIN rail type available for INS/INV160A and below
  • INS/INV100A to 160A have both DIN rail type and front - panel mounting type
  • Protection class up to IP55 IK07

Designed for Users' Working Modes

  • Suitable for on - site isolation, terminal power distribution, secondary power distribution, and power distribution for power, etc.
  • The mechanical system ensures that the handle position truly reflects the position of the main contacts
  • The full - series products include emergency disconnect products with yellow panels and red handles
  • Side - mounted rotary handles and side - mounted extended rotary handles available for INS/INV250A and below

Compliance with Standards

  • Compact isolating switches and their accessories comply with the following standards and international specifications:
    • IEC 60947 - 1: General Rules
    • IEC 60947 - 3: Switches, Disconnectors, Isolating Switches, etc.
    • IEC 60947 - 5.1 and below: Control Circuit Devices and Switching Elements; Automatic Control Elements
  • Since these standards and specifications are applicable in most countries, Compact isolating switches and their accessories comply with European standards (EN 60947 - 1, EN 60947 - 3, and EN 60947 - 5 - 1) and corresponding national standards:
    • France NF
    • Germany VDE
    • UK BS
    • Australia AS
    • Italy CEI
  • Due to compliance with French standard NF C79 - 130 and specifications issued by the CNOMO organization, Compact isolating switches are also applicable to machine tool control.

Easy Rotary Handle Operation

  • The rotary handle is easy to operate and has high performance when the current is interrupted. The handle can be front - mounted or expandable.

Front - panel Class II Insulation

  • Insulation is achieved in the following ways:
    • Double insulation for the INS and INV series
    • They can be installed through Class II front - panel doors (according to standard IEC 60664) without reducing the insulation class of the front panel. No special operations are required during installation even if the isolating switch is equipped with a rotary handle.

Environmental Resistance (Tropicalization)

  • Compact INS/INV isolating switches meet the environmental requirements in the following standards:
    • IEC/EN 60068 - 2 - 30: Tropical environment, equipment not in operation; 95% relative humidity at 55°C (humid tropics)
    • IEC/EN 60068 - 2 - 52: Salt spray; KB test severity level 2
    • IEC/EN 60068 - 2 - 56: Tropical environment, equipment in operation; 48h, environmental category C2
    • IEC 60068 - 2 - 1: Dry cold (- 55°C)
    • IEC 60068 - 2 - 1: Dry heat (+ 85°C)
  • Therefore, they can be used in any region in the world.

Pollution Level

  • The Compact series has been certified to operate in an environment with a pollution level of Class III, which is determined by the provisions for industrial environments in the IEC 60947 standard.

Ambient Temperature

  • Operating Temperature
    • Compact isolating switches can be used in a temperature range of - 25°C to 70°C. Above 60°C, the derating coefficients given in the document must be considered.
    • No matter where it is used, the isolating switch should operate within its rated working ambient temperature. However, it can also operate in a temperature range of - 35°C to - 25°C, as long as this situation does not last for more than a certain period of time.
  • Storage Temperature
    • In its original packaging, Compact isolating switches can be stored at temperatures ranging from - 50°C to + 85°C.

Environmental Protection

  • Compact INS and INV isolating switches consider environmental protection; most components are recyclable. Insulation components meet environmental protection standards.

Altitude

  • Compact INS/INV isolating switches operate at rated values at altitudes below 2000 meters.
  • Above 2000 meters, changes in air characteristics (resistance, cooling capacity) lead to the following performance reductions.

Vibration

  • Compact INS/INV isolating switches are not affected by electromagnetic or mechanical vibrations.
  • Tests comply with the standard IEC 68 - 2 - 6 levels required by certification bodies (Veritas, Lloyd’s, etc.).
    • 2 to 13.2 Hz: Amplitude ≤ 1 mm
    • 13.2 to 100 Hz: Constant acceleration 0.7 g
  • Excessive vibration may cause tripping, connection breakage, or damage to mechanical components.

Electromagnetic Compatibility

  • Compact INS/INV isolating switches can prevent:
    • Overvoltage caused by equipment generating electromagnetic interference
    • Overvoltage caused by atmospheric interference or power system interruptions (such as lighting system failures) and equipment emitting radio waves (radios, walkie - talkies, radars, etc.).

Protection Class

  • According to IEC 60529 (IP protection class) and EN 50102 (IK protection class against external mechanical impacts).
