Series Overview

Plug-in Fixed Part

● The plug-in switch (PMP) consists of the switch body, adapter kit, and plug-in fixed part.
● T2/T3/T4/T5 can be selected with plug-in wiring.
● ABB's integrated PMP switch includes the switch body and adapter kit; the WMP switch includes the faceplate, switch body, and adapter kit.
● The 4P fixed part is an imported product. Please contact ABB Low Voltage Division to confirm product lead time before ordering.

Adapter Kits

● ABB provides separate T2/T3/T4/T5400/T5630 plug-in adapter kits.
● T4/T5400/T5630 withdrawable adapter kits can be ordered separately.
● ABB's integrated PMP switch includes the switch body and adapter kit; the WMP switch includes the faceplate, switch body, and adapter kit.

Residual Current Releases

● The Residual Current release (RC) is directly powered by the grid and does not require an auxiliary power supply.
● BC221 and BC222 can be powered from either the top or bottom terminals.
● T1/T2 RC can be used with side-mounted MOS; T1/T2/T3 RC cannot be used with front-mounted MOS simultaneously; T1/T2/T3 RC cannot be used with rotary handles (Product standard IEC 60947-2 Annex B.5 or GB14048.2 Appendix B.5 requires that RC setting information must be visible on the switchgear panel).
● T4/T5 BC cannot be used simultaneously with a spring-charged motor operating mechanism (MCE) (size compatibility issue).
● T4/T5 fixed switches can be used simultaneously with RC222 and direct-acting rotary handles (RHD), but the BC adapter kit (RC Kit) must be ordered.
● T4/T5 plug-in or withdrawable switches can be used simultaneously with RC222 and direct-acting rotary handles (RHD), but the BC adapter kit (RC Kit) and a special adapter kit (Kit P>W) must be ordered.

Terminals

● Standard terminals for Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) are as follows: T1 has front cable connection copper terminals (FCCn); T2, T3, T4, T5, T6 have front terminals (F).
● Users can select different types of terminals according to their needs and can use different combinations (one type for top terminals, another for bottom terminals).
● The product manual details connection information for various terminals, such as tightening torque values for cable or busbar connections, and maximum/minimum cross-section sizes for bare conductor connections.
● Please read the product manual carefully and follow the torque requirements; additionally, all EF and ES terminals come standard with phase barriers. Pay attention to product insulation requirements and use the phase barriers correctly as per the product manual.

Cable Lug Terminals

● Products comply with IEC 61238-1 Class B standard. After forming, the products undergo annealing treatment to reduce hardness, ensuring good conductivity and corrosion resistance, and ease of crimping.
● Surface is tin-plated to enhance conductivity and corrosion resistance.
● Unique peephole design allows inspection to ensure the cable is installed correctly.
● Product color codes correspond to die color codes, facilitating correct crimping.
● After crimping is completed, the barrel section will be marked with a number corresponding to the crimping tool or die.
● Voltage rating: 600V - 35kV.

Insulating Terminal Covers

● Using high terminal covers (HTC) and low terminal covers (LTC) achieves a protection rating of IP40.

Phase Barriers

● The standard phase barrier for T4, T5 circuit breakers has part number RA1752/002, dimensions approximately 100 x 26.4 mm (L x W).
● The standard phase barrier for T1, T2, T3 extended front terminals has dimensions approximately 102.2 x 68 mm (L x W). The standard phase barrier for T4, T5 extended front terminals has dimensions approximately 102.2 x 100 mm (L x W).
● The standard phase barrier for T2, T3 extended expansion terminals has dimensions approximately 202.2 x 100 mm (L x W).
● The standard phase barrier for T4, T5 extended expansion terminals has dimensions approximately 202.2 x 100 mm (L x W).
● The standard phase barrier in the T5630 plug-in/withdrawable extended front terminal fixed part has dimensions approximately 202.2 x 100 mm (L x W).

Shunt Releases - SOR

● Using a shunt release allows the circuit breaker to execute an electrical opening command.
● The release operates when the voltage is between 70% and 110% (AC/DC) of the shunt release's rated voltage (Un).
● For T1/T2/T3 pre-wired shunt releases, removing the release's accompanying wires converts them into the corresponding non-pre-wired shunt releases.
● T4/T5/T6 pre-wired shunt releases have a different structure compared to the corresponding non-pre-wired versions.
● Generally, the shunt release is installed in the left-side slot of the circuit breaker; for T4/T5 4P circuit breakers, it is installed in the second slot from the left.

Undervoltage Releases - UVR

● When the supply voltage to the undervoltage release drops to between (0.7 - 0.35) Un of its rated value, the undervoltage release opens the circuit breaker.
● The circuit breaker or main contacts cannot close when the undervoltage release is de-energized.
● For T1/T2/T3 pre-wired undervoltage releases, removing the release's accompanying wires converts them into the corresponding non-pre-wired undervoltage releases.
● T4/T5/T6 pre-wired undervoltage releases have a different structure compared to the corresponding non-pre-wired versions.
● Generally, the undervoltage release is installed in the left-side slot of the circuit breaker; for T4/T5 4P circuit breakers, it is installed in the second slot from the left.

Auxiliary Contacts - AUX

● The function of auxiliary contact electrical signals is to externally display information related to the operating status of the circuit breaker.
● During installation, they must be internally mounted directly from the front of the circuit breaker into the right-side slot.
● Auxiliary contacts are available in pre-wired and non-pre-wired types.
● ABB provides auxiliary contact connection cables: 6 Cables, 12 Cables.

Motor Operating Mechanisms (Spring Charging)

● MOS motor operating mechanisms are suitable for T1, T2, and T3 circuit breakers; MOE is suitable for T4, T5, and T6 circuit breakers.
● MOE-E is suitable for T4, T5, and T6 circuit breakers equipped with PR222DS/PD electronic trip units.
● MOS/MOE/MOE-E all support manual and automatic operating modes.

Rotary Handles

● Rotary handles are mainly divided into two types: Direct-acting (RHD) and Adjustable Extension (RHE).
● The three components of the adjustable extension type can be ordered separately: Compartment door rotary handle (RHE_H), Extension rod (RHE_S), Mechanism base mounted on the circuit breaker (RHE_B).
● The emergency type rotary handle is yellow-red with a yellow panel, commonly used for machine tool control.
● Additionally, ABB provides open-position padlocks: RHL for T1/T2/T3 and KLF for T4/T5/T6.

Mechanical Interlocks

● MIF is suitable for T1-T3 circuit breakers. MIF is installed on the front of fixed side-by-side circuit breakers.
● MIF cannot be used simultaneously with accessories mounted on the front panel and residual current releases.
● T3 MIR-H is only suitable for T3 circuit breakers and can be used simultaneously with accessories mounted on the front panel and residual current releases.
● T4-T5 MIR can be used simultaneously with accessories mounted on the front panel and residual current releases. When using T4-T5 MIR-VB, the lower terminals of the upper circuit breaker and the upper terminals of the lower circuit breaker must use rear wiring.
