Series Overview

EZD100~250A Auxiliary Switch

The auxiliary switch can remotely display the status of the circuit breaker and can therefore be used for indication, electrical interlocking, and relay control.
Function
● AX (ON/OFF): Indicates the position of the circuit breaker contacts.
● AL (Trip Indication): Displays the trip status of the circuit breaker, i.e., operation due to overload, short-circuit, undervoltage trip, or push-button tripping. The contact resets when the circuit breaker receives a reset signal.

Multifunction Auxiliary Switch (Only for 100~250A)

● AX/AL (Auxiliary + Alarm): Displays the circuit breaker contact position and the trip status of the circuit breaker.

400/630A Auxiliary Switch

The auxiliary switch can remotely control the circuit breaker and is used for indication, electrical interlocking, and relay control. Complies with IEC 60947-5 requirements.
Function
● AX Auxiliary Contact (ON/OFF): Indicates the position of the circuit breaker contacts.
● AL Alarm Contact (Trip Indication): Indicates circuit breaker tripping due to: Overload, Short-circuit, Earth fault. When the plug-in circuit breaker is in the service position, undervoltage tripping or push-button tripping is operational. The AL contact resets when the circuit breaker receives a reset signal.
● Electrical Alarm Switch ALV (Earth Leakage Fault Indication): Issues an alarm signal when an earth leakage occurs. The ALV contact resets when the fault is reset.
Standard
● Auxiliary switches comply with IEC 60947-5 standard.
Installation and Connection
● This auxiliary switch clips onto the rear of the circuit breaker front panel.
● Wire cross-section for connection to the centralized terminal block: Max. 1.5 mm² (EZD 160~630), 1.0 mm² (EZD 100).

Voltage Trip Coils

Voltage trip coils enable the circuit breaker to trip via a control signal.
Undervoltage Release (UVR/UVRN)
● The circuit breaker trips when the control voltage drops below the trip voltage setting.
● Trip voltage setting range: 0.35~0.7 times the rated voltage.
● The UVR coil resets the circuit breaker when the voltage exceeds 0.85 times the rated voltage. The circuit breaker trips via UVR release. Complies with IEC 60947-2 requirements.
Shunt Release (SHT)
● The circuit breaker trips when the control voltage exceeds 0.7xUn.
● The control signal can be pulse type (≥20ms) or continuous.
Operation
● When the circuit breaker is tripped via a trip coil (UVR or SHT), it should be reset promptly after the fault is cleared.
● UVR or SHT tripping takes priority over manual closing. Due to the tripping sequence, it is impossible to open by other means, even temporarily.
Installation and Connection
● Space for trip coils is located behind the front cover; for EZD160/250 E/M 3P, the undervoltage trip coil is installed on the right side of the circuit breaker.
● Wire cross-section for connection to the centralized terminal block: Max. 1.5 mm² (EZD160~630), 1.0 mm² (EZD100).

Rotary Handles

Two types of rotary handles: Direct Rotary Handle, Extended Rotary Handle.
Direct Rotary Handle
● Degree of protection: IP40, IK07, IP54 (1)
Operation
● Function: Isolation function.
● Positions and indications: 0 (OFF), I (ON), and Trip.
● Trip button.
● The circuit breaker in the OFF position can be padlocked with 1~3 padlocks, diameter 5-8mm (supplied by user).
Installation
● Remove the circuit breaker front cover and replace it with the handle (2).

Extended Rotary Handle

● Circuit breakers installed in switchgear can be operated via the front-mounted rotary handle.
● Degree of protection: IP40 (3), IK08, IP54
Operation
● Function: Isolation function.
● Positions and indications: 0 (OFF), I (ON), and Trip.
● Trip settings can be adjusted when the door is open.
● The circuit breaker cannot be closed when the door is open.
● The circuit breaker in the OFF position can be padlocked with 1~3 padlocks, diameter 5-8mm (supplied by user). Locking prevents the switchgear door from opening.
Extended Rotary Handle Composition:
● Remove the circuit breaker front cover and replace it with the extended handle (2).
● The handle and nameplate on the door are always installed in the same position, regardless of whether the circuit breaker is mounted horizontally or vertically.
● The shaft of the extended handle is adjustable, depending on the distance from the back of the circuit breaker to the door:
● EZD100: 145-530mm
● EZD160-250: 145-422mm
● EZD400-630: 209-600mm
