ComPacT NSX Accessories Overview
Fixed Circuit Breakers
Fixed circuit breakers can be directly connected to busbars or via cable lugs. Bare cable connectors are also available for copper or aluminum bare conductors.
ComPacT NSX circuit breakers can be installed horizontally, vertically, face-up, or top-mounted without performance degradation. Three mounting methods are available:
- Fixed type
- Plug-in type
- Withdrawable type
For plug-in or withdrawable configurations, additional accessories (baseplates, side plates, etc.) must be added to the fixed-type breaker. Many connection accessories are common across all three types.
Plug-In Circuit Breakers
- Features:
- Allow removal or quick replacement without touching power terminals or the baseplate.
- Enable pre-installation of plug-in bases for future breaker additions.
- Isolation: When baseplate-mounted or panel-mounted, power circuits can be isolated. Full insulation is achieved using short terminal shields (mandatory). Protection levels:
- Breaker inserted: IP4X
- Breaker removed: IP2X
- Breaker removed with baseplate shutter: IP4X
- Configuration:
- Plug-in structure is achieved by adding a plug-in kit to a fixed breaker.
- A safety trip device (included in the kit) ensures automatic tripping if the breaker is inserted/removed while closed (ON).
Withdrawable Circuit Breakers
- Advantages: Combine plug-in benefits with enhanced operability. Three positions:
- Connected: Power circuit closed.
- Withdrawn: Power circuit open; auxiliary circuits can be tested.
- Removed: Breaker can be detached from the base.
- Configuration:
- Requires side plates on both the base and breaker. Similar to plug-in types, the safety trip device ensures tripping if the breaker is inserted/withdrawn while closed.
- Accessories:
- Drawer auxiliary contacts indicate "Connected" or "Withdrawn" status.
- Locking with 1–3 padlocks (5–8mm diameter) to prevent insertion or lock positions.
- Telescopic shafts for extended rotary handle operation with closed panels.
