Terminal shields for fixed and plug-in/withdrawable circuit breakers are identical and suitable for all applications with voltages up to 690V. Their rated current ranges include 100/160/250 A and 400/630 A, available in long and short types.

Terminal Shields

● Terminal shields are insulating accessories that prevent direct contact with live parts. They provide a protection rating of IP40 and a mechanical impact protection rating of IK07.

Types of Terminal Shields

● ComPacT NSX100/160/250 and NSX400/630 3P or 4P can use:

Short terminal shields
Long terminal shields

Short Terminal Shields

● Suitable for:

All plug-in and withdrawable circuit breakers
Fixed circuit breakers with rear connections

Long Terminal Shields

● Designed for front connections with cables or insulated busbars.

● Consist of two parts assembled with screws to achieve IP40 protection.

● Upper part includes a sliding grid with phase markers for precise alignment with cables or insulated busbars.

● Rear part fully encloses the wiring area. Removable tabs allow adaptation to cable lugs or copper busbars.

Applications of Long Terminal Shields

● Can be installed on:

Fixed circuit breakers (both line and load sides)
Plug-in and withdrawable breaker bases. When combined with mandatory short terminal shields on the breaker, insulation is enhanced.
Integrated extenders for NSX100/160/250.
52.5 mm extenders for NSX400/630.

Phase Barriers

● Phase barriers are safety accessories that enhance insulation at connection points:

Installed by snapping onto the circuit breaker.
Only one type exists. Compatible with fixed breakers or plug-in base adapters.
Not compatible with terminal shields.
Adapters are required for installation on plug-in and withdrawable breaker bases.
