Series Overview Outline
Electrical Accessories
Indicator Switches
● Auxiliary switch AX (ON/OFF) – Indicates circuit breaker contact position.
● Alarm switch AL (Trip Indication) – Indicates circuit breaker tripping due to:
● Overload
● Short-circuit
● Voltage coil activation, released after circuit breaker reset.
●
Multifunctional auxiliary switch (Alarm auxiliary switch) – Combines functions of auxiliary switch and alarm switch.
Trip Coils
● Shunt trip (SHT) or Undervoltage release (UVR)
Undervoltage release (UVR/UVRN)
● Triggers circuit breaker tripping when control voltage drops below the trip threshold.
● Trips when voltage is between 0.35 and 0.7 times the rated voltage.
● Circuit breaker can be closed when voltage exceeds 0.85 times the rated voltage. UVR complies with IEC 60947-2.
Shunt trip (SHT)
● Triggers circuit breaker tripping when control voltage rises to ≥0.7Un.
● Control signal can be pulse-type (≥20ms) or sustained.
● Installed in the right inner groove of the circuit breaker.
Operation
● For circuit breakers tripped by UVR or SHT, manual on-site reset is required.
● UVR/SHT trip commands override manual closing: If a trip command exists, temporary or permanent closing is impossible.
Note: For Osmart NSC 3-pole products:
● Osmart NSC60/100/125A can accommodate two UVRs or two SHTs.
● Osmart NSC160–250 can accommodate one UVR (right outer side) and one SHT (right inner side).
● Osmart NSC400/630 can accommodate either one UVR or one SHT.
Mechanical Accessories
Direct Rotary Handle
● Protection class: IP40 or IP54 (NSC BOTDS with air cushion, suitable for 60–250A).
● Includes:
● Isolation compliance.
● Indicates three positions: 0 (OFF), I (ON), and Trip.
● Lockable in OFF position with 1–3 padlocks (5–8mm shackle diameter; padlocks not included).
● Cabinet door cannot be opened when breaker is in ON position.
● Breaker cannot be closed if cabinet door is open.
Extended Rotary Handle
● Protection class: IP54.
● Enables front-panel operation of the circuit breaker from the cabinet door.
● Isolation compliance.
● Indicates three positions: 0 (OFF), 1 (ON), and Trip.
● Lockable in OFF position with 1–3 padlocks (5–8mm shackle diameter; padlocks not included).
● Cabinet door cannot be opened when breaker is in ON or locked position.
● Comprises:
● Front cover unit (screw-mounted).
● Door-mounted assembly ensuring consistent handle/front cover alignment regardless of vertical/horizontal installation.
● Adjustable extension rod.
● For ≤250A: Minimum/maximum door-to-breaker base distance: 145/422mm.
● For ≤400/630A: Minimum/maximum door-to-breaker base distance: 209/625mm.
Padlock System
● Complies with IEC 60947-2 for OFF-position isolation. Supports up to 3 padlocks (5–8mm shackle diameter; padlocks not included).
Phase Barriers
● Maximizes insulation between conductors.
● Easy assembly.
● Compatible with all connection accessories except terminal covers.
● Requires 2 barriers per side for 3-pole circuit breakers.
Terminal Covers
● Installed on upper/lower ends of the circuit breaker to shield terminals, ensuring safety during live maintenance.
Bare Cable Connectors (for 60/100A series)
● Enables safe, fast, and reliable connection of bare cables to breaker terminals.
● ≤50A: For 1.5–16 mm² cables.
● >50A: For 5.5–50 mm² cables.
