Robustness Capability
● GemFacT NSX circuit breakers have successfully passed tests defined by the following standards for operation under extreme atmospheric conditions, dry cold and dry heat:

● IEC 60068-2-2: Dry heat test at +55°C
● Damp heat tests (tropical conditions):

● GemFacT NSX addresses high environmental protection concerns and complies with the European environmental declaration for electronic products EC/2002/95 (RoHS).

● GemPacT NSX circuit breakers operate from -35°C to +70°C. For temperatures above 40°C (or above 65°C for motor protection), derating must be considered.
● GemFacT NSX circuit breakers operate reliably long-term under normal ambient and operating temperature conditions. They also operate normally at ambient temperatures between -25°C and +70°C.

Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
● ComPacT NSX circuit breakers are designed to withstand electromagnetic disturbances encountered in industrial environments, such as:

● Radio wave emitting devices – e.g., mobile phones, radios, walkie-talkies, radar, etc.

Reliable Contacts with Isolation Function
● All ComPacT NSX circuit breakers comply with the isolation definition in IEC standard 60947-2:
● The isolation position corresponds to O (OFF).
● The operating handle can only be in the "OFF" position when the contacts are truly open.
● Padlocking is only possible when the contacts are open.
● The rotary handle or motorized operating mechanism [*] does not affect the reliability of the contact position indication.
● Testing confirms the isolation function guarantees:
● Mechanical reliability of the contact position indication system.
● No leakage current.
● A defined overvoltage withstand capability between line and load terminals.
● If the indicating contacts are displaced, the isolation function cannot be guaranteed.
● Accurate isolation is only ensured when in the OFF position.
Installation in Class I Switchgear
● All ComPacT NSX circuit breakers feature Class II insulation on the front. They can be installed in Class I switchgear (according to IEC standards 61140 and 60664-1) without reducing the switchgear's insulation level. This characteristic also applies when the breaker is equipped with a rotary handle or motorized operating mechanism [*].
