Series Overview
Frame Sizes
The complete 3VA portfolio comprises two distinct MCCB series across five different rated operational current frames.
The new 3VA series molded case circuit breakers set new standards in the flexibility and diversity of modular accessories. Standard accessories suitable for all different frame sizes of the 3VA help reduce costs and save time.
The 3VA1 molded case circuit breaker is available in 1-pole to 4-pole versions for the 160A frame, and in 3-pole and 4-pole versions for the 100A frame. The 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker is available in 3-pole and 4-pole versions.
Depending on the series and frame, the circuit breakers cover rated operational currents from 16A to 630A and rated voltages up to 690V.

Compact Dimensions with Extended Functionality
Beyond its extended performance, the compact design of the 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker is perfectly realized not only in the fixed-mounted version but also in the plug-in and withdrawable versions.
A complete selection with a cover plate dimension of 70mm for panel cutouts and breaking capacities from 55kA to 150kA at 415V AC provides the necessary planning flexibility.

Selective Contact System
Due to its contact system, the 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker is designed for fast selective tripping performance. The selective contact system ensures the following functions:
Electronic Trip Units (ETUs)
The 3VA2 current transformers include an internally supplied iron-core transformer and a Rogowski coil for precise current measurement. Each transformer is optimized for its specific task. Due to the high accuracy of current measurement, the 3VA2 molded case circuit breaker is suitable for power/energy measurement. Furthermore, ground-fault current monitoring is precisely adjustable.
