Series Overview
Scope of Application
The HYM3L series Residual Current Operated Circuit Breakers (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breakers) are developed using internationally advanced technology, featuring reliable performance, high technical specifications, convenient maintenance, an aesthetically pleasing design, and compact size.
• These circuit breakers are suitable for use in power systems with AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated voltage up to 415V, and rated current up to 800A. They are used to distribute electrical energy and protect the power system from damage caused by faults such as overload and short-circuit. They can also be used for infrequent control of motors.
• The residual current (earth leakage) protection function of these circuit breakers provides indirect contact protection against electric shock hazards that are fatal to persons. It also prevents electrical fires caused by persistent earth fault currents that cannot be detected by overcurrent protection devices.
• When the rated residual operating current is set to 30mA (for non-time-delayed circuit breakers), they can also serve as a means of protection against direct contact in the event of failure of the relevant protective device.
• The rated value of the residual operating current for these circuit breakers is adjustable. The leakage protection operating time of the HYM3LY type is also adjustable, enabling selective protection under earth leakage conditions.
• Classification according to DC component conditions:
• Products comply with standards: IEC 60947-2, GB/T 14048.2; IEC 755, GB/T 6829.
Normal Service Conditions
• Ambient Temperature: Ambient air temperature -5°C to +40°C; the 24-hour average does not exceed +35°C.
• Altitude: Installation site altitude not exceeding 2000m (consult the manufacturer for use above 2000m).
• Atmospheric Conditions: Relative humidity of the air at the installation site does not exceed 50% at the maximum temperature of +40°C; higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures. When the average minimum temperature of the wettest month does not exceed +25°C and the average maximum relative humidity of that month does not exceed 90%, condensation occurring on the product surface due to temperature changes should be taken into account.
• Pollution Degree: Pollution Degree 3.
• Installation Category: Installation Category III for the main circuit.
• Installation Environmental Conditions: Locations without significant shaking, shock, or vibration; in non-explosive atmospheres free from gases and dust (including conductive dust) sufficient to corrode metals or damage insulation; locations not subject to rain or snow ingress; mounting surface inclination relative to vertical does not exceed 5°.
• External Magnetic Fields: External magnetic fields near the installation site in any direction should not exceed 5 times the Earth's magnetic field.
• Storage and Transportation Conditions: Temperature range -35°C to +70°C; relative humidity not exceeding 90%; handle products gently during transportation, do not place upside down, and avoid severe collisions.
• Degree of Protection: Degree of protection IP30 (terminals excluded).
