Scope of Application

• The KFB3-632 series circuit breaker is a DC type circuit breaker with overload and short-circuit protection. It provides overload and short-circuit protection for DC systems rated at DC125V and DC250V and below. It is widely used in DC panels, DC water pumps, DC distribution cabinets, DC combiner boxes, distribution box systems in photovoltaic and wind power stations, and communication distribution box protection systems. It can also be used for infrequent switching of circuits under normal conditions.

• The product complies with: GB10963.2, IEC60898-2.

Operating and Installation Conditions

• Ambient air temperature: Not higher than +40°C, not lower than -5°C, with the 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C.

• Altitude: The altitude of the installation site does not exceed 2000m.

• Atmospheric conditions: The relative humidity of the atmosphere does not exceed 50% at the maximum surrounding temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, for example, up to 90% at 20°C. Special measures, such as installing protective covers, should be taken against occasional condensation caused by temperature changes.

• Installation conditions: The installation position should be vertical, with inclination in any direction not exceeding 10°. Install in a location free from impact, vibration, rain, and snow ingress.

• Pollution degree: Degree 2.

• Installation category: Category II or III.

• Degree of protection: IP20 (IP40 when installed in a distribution box, distribution cabinet, or enclosure).

Structure and Operating Principle

• The circuit breaker features an attractive appearance, compact size, light weight, rapid tripping, and rail mounting. The housing and components are made of highly flame-retardant and impact-resistant plastic, ensuring excellent performance and reliability.

• The circuit breaker consists of a housing, handle, operating mechanism, contact system, thermal trip unit, magnetic trip unit, and arc chute. When the circuit breaker conducts current, the bimetallic strip heats up and deforms. When the overload current reaches a certain level, the bending of the bimetallic strip actuates the trip unit. When a large short-circuit current passes through the trip unit, the electromagnetic system immediately actuates the trip unit, thereby protecting the electrical equipment.
