FORMULA DSP Overview
● The new FORMULA DSP series includes four frame sizes (P1, P2, P3, and P4), rated at 160A, 250A, 630A, and 800A respectively. Structural Characteristics
● All FORMULA DSP molded case circuit breakers are designed and manufactured according to the following structural characteristics.
Double Insulation
● FORMULA DSP circuit breakers feature double insulation between live parts (excluding terminals) and the front parts of the equipment manipulated by the operator during normal operation.
● The base of each electrical accessory is completely isolated from the power circuit, preventing contact with live parts. In particular, the operating mechanism is completely isolated from the supply circuit.
● Additionally, there are oversized insulation distances between live internal parts of the circuit breaker and near the terminal connections. These distances exceed those required by the IEC standard.
Insulation Performance
● In the OFF position, the circuit breaker guarantees insulation distances complying with the requirements of the IEC 60947-2 standard, thus avoiding leakage current between the input and output terminals.
Tropical Climate Suitability
● Circuit breakers and accessories in the FORMULA DSP series were tested twice at 55°C using "variant 1" method (clause 7.3.3) according to IEC 60068-2-30 standard.
● The suitability of the FORMULA DSP series for the most severe environmental conditions is further ensured based on the following reasons:
● Insulating enclosures are made of glass fiber reinforced synthetic resin;
● Main metal parts undergo anti-corrosion treatment;
● Coatings provide Fe/Zn 12 zinc plating (ISO 2081) protection, free from hexavalent chromium (compliant with RoHS), achieving ISO 4520 Class C corrosion resistance.
