Series Outline

CM3, CM3E, CM3L, CM3DC

The Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs, hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are upgraded products of the CM1 series launched by our company, divided into four main series:

• Thermal-magnetic CM3 series circuit breakers have six frame ratings: 63A, 100A, 250A, 400A, 630A, 800A, with current ratings from 10A to 800A.

• Electronic CM3E series circuit breakers have six frame ratings: 100A, 250A, 400A, 630A, 800A, 1250A, with current ratings from 12.5A to 1250A.
• Residual Current Protected CM3L series circuit breakers have four frame ratings: 100A, 250A, 400A, 630A, with current ratings from 10A to 630A and residual operating currents from 30mA to 30A.
• DC CM3DC series circuit breakers have five frame ratings: 100A, 250A, 400A, 630A, 800A, with current ratings from 10A to 800A.
• Circuit breakers are classified into four levels based on their rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu): C Type (Basic), L Type (Standard), M Type (Higher Breaking Capacity), H Type (High Breaking Capacity).
• CM3 circuit breakers with breaking capacity levels C, L, M, and CM3E circuit breakers with breaking capacity level M can be connected with reverse-feed when used in AC 400V distribution systems.
• All series circuit breakers can be installed horizontally (sideways), vertically (upright), or flat-mounted.
• All series circuit breakers have isolation function, indicated by the symbol: +H.
• CM3-100, 250 (L/M/H types), CM3-400, 630 (C/L/M/H types), CM3-800 (L/M/H types), and the above specifications in four-pole versions with N-pole types A or B, can feature a unique "overload-alarm-without-trip" function. This ensures power supply continuity, meeting the requirements of GB50054 Clause 6.3.6.
• CM3L circuit breakers can be equipped with a "earth-leakage-alarm-without-trip" module to avoid significant losses caused by power outages, satisfying the requirements of GB13955 Clause 4.6.

Compliance with Standards:

• IEC 60947-1 & GB 14048.1-2006 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 1: General rules
• IEC 60947-2 & GB 14048.2-2008 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 2: Circuit-breakers
• IEC 60947-4-1 & GB 14048.4-2010 Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 4-1: Contactors and motor-starters - Electromechanical contactors and motor-starters (including motor protection)

Application Areas

Low-voltage Distribution Protection:

• CM3 distribution circuit breakers are suitable for AC 50/60Hz TN, TT, IT distribution systems, meeting the requirements for "Selection of Electrical Apparatus" in GB50054.
• CM3DC circuit breakers can be used in DC ungrounded, negative-pole grounded, and center-point grounded systems, such as those installed in combiner boxes and inverters for photovoltaic systems.
• The reliable contact position indication and isolation function of all series circuit breakers meet the requirements for isolation devices in GB50054.

Motor Circuit Protection:

• CM3 motor protection circuit breakers provide overcurrent protection for motor starters, cables, and motors. Their protection characteristics meet GB14048.4, and their application satisfies GB50055.
• CM3-250C, CM3-100C, and CM3-63 circuit breakers have a slim profile of only 60mm, suitable for installation in equipment control cabinets for device protection.

Switching Function:

• Two CM3 circuit breakers equipped with a mechanical interlock can achieve manual switching between two power sources for the same device or between two devices on the same power source.
• Two mechanically and electrically interlocked circuit breakers, equipped with controllers, etc., enable automatic transfer switching (ATS) for dual power sources (refer to CA1/CA1B series ATS product literature).

PV Grid Connection:

• CM3 circuit breakers equipped with a dedicated photovoltaic grid-connection undervoltage release meet the State Grid Corporation standards Q/GDW1972 and Q/GDW1973. They enable automatic closing upon voltage detection.
• CM3 circuit breakers configured with the FZT3 status upload module can provide position signals (ON, OFF, TRIPPED) to an upper-level system or SCADA and allow remote control (open/close), enabling communication functions for thermal-magnetic circuit breakers.

High-Precision Measurement:

• CM3 circuit breakers with the FMD3 power measurement module assembled at the outgoing terminals enable AC 400V distribution system power measurement without requiring additional wiring (no extra power supply, no external CTs, no voltage sampling connections, no communication lines). Compact in size, their measurement performance meets IEC 61557-12 (GB/T 18216.12) standards.
• Energy measurement accuracy class is 1, satisfying the Class 2 accuracy requirement for electrical measurement applications in main distribution boards per IEC 60364-8-1.
