Series Overview Outline
● The all-new generation CM6 series Molded Case Circuit Breakers (MCCBs) are high-quality products developed by Chint Electrics Changshu Switchgear Co., Ltd. to meet the demands of modern electrical distribution systems. Designed with the principles of miniaturization, high performance, modularity, intelligence, and multifunctionality, they are crafted using modern design methods and reliability theory.
● Based on independent innovation, the all-new generation CM6 series MCCBs, developed over many years, feature new mechanisms, new arc-extinguishing systems, and new trip units, establishing a unique and miniaturized new image for MCCBs.
● The all-new generation CM6 series MCCBs are designed to be compact with excellent performance. Compared to the previous generation of similar products, their reduced volume allows for smaller cabinet sizes and enables the installation of more products within the same space.
● Standardization: The CM62 series is the same product as the CM6 series, differing only in the trip unit, facilitating standardized installation and use when users select different trip units.
● High Performance: By developing a new, highly reliable single-breakpoint breaking technology, the let-through I²t value during short-circuit interruption is significantly reduced (by approximately 20%). CM6-125 and CM6-250B feature a more compact size with a unified height of 70mm and a breaking capacity of 70kA@415V. CM6-160 and CM6-250 have a unified height of 82mm and a breaking capacity of 100kA@415V. CM6-400 and CM6-630 have a unified height of 103mm and a breaking capacity of 100kA@415V.
● The entire series of products, CM6 and CM6Z, can be used with reverse feed.
● They possess an extremely long mechanical life.
● High Safety: The entire series has a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 1000V, and the products comply with the requirements for reinforced insulation (Class II).
● The performance of the isolating function has been enhanced. Compared to the previous generation M3 series, the requirement for a lockable isolating function (GB/T 14048.1) has been added, ensuring that a lock can only be installed when the contacts are genuinely in the open position.
● Accessory Cover Safety Interlock: The accessory cover can only be opened for accessory installation when the contacts are in the open position, ensuring user safety.
● Fool-proof design for installing auxiliary switches and alarm switches, making user self-installation more convenient and accurate.
● Internal accessories are visible for easy identification at a glance.
● The circuit breakers are designed for the normal service conditions recommended by GB/T 14048.1 as follows:
● Ambient Air Temperature: Not exceeding +40°C with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35°C. The lower limit of the ambient air temperature is -5°C. Ambient air temperature refers to the air temperature surrounding the circuit breaker.
● Altitude: Not exceeding 2000m.
● Humidity: Relative humidity not exceeding 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, e.g., up to 90% at +20°C. Special measures should be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
● Pollution Degree: 3.
● Transport and Storage Conditions: -25°C ~ +55°C (short-term up to +70°C).
● When used under conditions exceeding the standard specifications, please use under the following conditions:
● Ambient Air Temperature: The circuit breaker can operate in ambient temperatures from -25°C to +70°C. However, derating is required above +40°C. For ambient temperatures as low as -40°C, the use of a low-temperature type product is recommended.
● Altitude: Derating is required for altitudes exceeding 2000 meters.
● Atmospheric Conditions: Humidity: If beyond the standard recommended service conditions, appropriate measures should be taken to meet the conditions. Atmospheric Environment: Besides meeting Pollution Degree 3, it also satisfies the requirements for air micro-environment 3C2 as specified in GB/T 4798.3.
● Shock and Vibration Resistance: The circuit breaker can be used in environments meeting the mechanical condition class 3M4 of GB/T 4798.3. It has passed the GB/T 2423.10 test requirements, capable of withstanding mechanical vibration with a frequency of 2Hz~13.2Hz and displacement of ±1mm, and a frequency of 13.2Hz~100Hz with an acceleration of ±0.7g. The circuit breaker has passed the GB/T 2423.5 test requirements, capable of withstanding shock with a peak acceleration of 150m/s² and a pulse duration of 11ms in both directions.
● Transport and Storage Conditions: Ambient air temperature -25°C ~ +70°C, relative humidity ≤50% (in tropical humid regions, moisture-proof packaging should be used for storage).
● Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC): The circuit breaker has passed the EMC test items specified in Appendices F and J of GB/T 14048.2.
