CDM3S Series Molded Case Circuit Breakers
Product Introduction
● CDM3S Series Molded Case Circuit Breakers (hereinafter referred to as CDM3S) are mechanical switching devices capable of making, carrying, and breaking currents under normal circuit conditions, and also making, carrying for a specified time, and breaking currents under specified abnormal circuit conditions such as overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage (accessory function). They provide protection for lines and equipment. Widely applicable in low-voltage power consumption places such as power, construction, industry, and OEM.

● Rated Operational Voltage (Ue): 400/415V, 500V, 690V

Ambient Temperature
● Normal Operating Conditions: -5°C to +40°C
● If the operating ambient temperature exceeds +40°C, refer to the temperature derating coefficient table for use.
● Storage Temperature: -40°C to +70°C (If the storage temperature is lower than the normal operating conditions, allow the product to stabilize at the operating temperature for at least 24 hours before use).
Pollution Degree
● CDM3S operates in Pollution Degree 3, as defined by standards IEC 60947-1 and IEC 60664-1 (industrial environments).
Protection Degree (IP Rating)
● CDM3S body (excluding terminals) conforms to IP rating: IP30
● CDM3S breakers installed in switchgear:
● Breakers with toggle handle: IP40
● Breakers with rotary handle: IP40
● Breakers with motor operator: IP40
Humidity
● Normal Operating Humidity: At an ambient air temperature of +40°C, the relative humidity must not exceed 50%. At lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is permissible; for example, up to 90% at +20°C.
● Special measures should be taken against occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
Reliable Contact Position Indication with Isolation Function
● Complies with isolation requirements defined in IEC standard GB/T 14048.2.
● The isolation position corresponds to the O (OFF) position.
● The operating handle can only indicate the "OFF" position when the contacts are genuinely open.
● The reliability of the contact position indication system is not affected by the use of a rotary handle or motor operator.
Altitude
● Normal Operating Altitude: ≤ 2000m
● If installation is required at altitudes exceeding 2000m, the change in dielectric strength and the decrease in air cooling capability must be considered.
