- The CDM6i series products operate in environments defined as Pollution Degree 3 according to IEC 60947-1 and 60664-1 standards (industrial environments).
Resistance to Climatic Conditions
- Dry cold, dry heat, damp heat
Ambient Temperature
- Upper limit of surrounding air temperature: +70°C; Lower limit: -40°C; 24-hour average temperature not exceeding 35°C.
- (Note: For use within the range of -40°C to -25°C and +40°C to +70°C, please refer to the derating factor table.)
- Storage temperature: -40°C to +70°C.
Altitude
- Normal operating altitude: ≤ 2000m.
- If installation is required at altitudes exceeding 2000m, changes in dielectric strength and the decrease in air cooling capability must be considered. Refer to the altitude derating factor table for use.
Humidity
- Normal operating conditions require:
- Relative humidity of the atmosphere not exceeding 50% at a surrounding air temperature of +40°C. At lower temperatures, a higher relative humidity is permissible.
- The monthly average relative humidity of the wettest month is 90%.
- The impact of condensation forming on the product surface on product performance must be considered.
Reliable Contact Position Indication with Isolating Function
- CDM6i series molded case circuit breakers all comply with the definition of isolation specified in IEC standard 60947-2.
- The isolating position corresponds to the "0" (OFF) position.
- The operating handle can only indicate the "0" (OFF) position when the contacts are genuinely open.
- Operation via a rotary handle or electrical operating mechanism does not compromise the reliability of the contact position indication system.
- Through testing, the isolating function must ensure:
- Mechanical reliability of the contact position indication system.
- Absence of leakage current.
- Adequate impulse withstand voltage capability between terminals.
Degree of Protection (IP Code)
- Circuit breaker body: IP20.
- Circuit breaker installed in a switchgear cabinet:
- Circuit breaker with toggle handle: IP40.
- Circuit breaker with electrical operating mechanism: IP40.
