Application and Scope of Use

● The H5M1 series moulded case circuit breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are suitable for circuits with an AC 50Hz rated insulation voltage of 800V (HSM1-63 has a rated insulation voltage of 690V), a rated operational voltage up to 690V, and a rated current from 10A to 800A. They are used for distributing electrical energy and for infrequent switching operations under normal conditions. They also provide protection against overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage for lines and equipment.

● Circuit breakers with a rated frame current of 400A and below can also be used for the infrequent starting of squirrel cage motors and provide protection against motor overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage.

● This circuit breaker has an isolation function, denoted by the symbol HX_.

● The circuit breaker complies with standards such as IEC 60947-2 and GB/T 14048.2.

Normal Service and Mounting Conditions

● Ambient Air Temperature: -25°C to +70°C, with the average value over any 24-hour period not exceeding +35°C; Derating is required for ambient temperatures exceeding +40°C. Products suitable for temperatures as low as -40°C are available; please contact our company when ordering.

● Altitude: The altitude at the installation site should not exceed 2000m; Derating is required for installations above 2000m.

● Relative Humidity: The relative humidity of the air at the installation site should not exceed 50% at +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, for example, 95% at +20°C. Suitable measures should be taken for conditions where condensation or frost occurs.

● Installation Environment: The circuit breaker shall be installed in a medium without explosion hazard, free from gases or conductive dust sufficient to corrode metals or damage insulation, and free from rain and snow.

● Pollution Degree: Pollution Degree 3.

● Installation Category: The main circuit of the circuit breaker is Installation Category III. Other auxiliary and control circuits are Installation Category I.

● Mounting Orientation: The basic mounting orientation is vertical, but horizontal mounting is also permissible.
