Scope of Application
● KFM2 series Molded Case Circuit Breakers (hereinafter referred to as circuit breakers) are suitable for circuits with AC 50Hz/60Hz, rated voltage up to 690V, and rated current up to 800A, generally used for power distribution. Circuit breakers with rated current up to 630A can also be used for motor protection.
● Under normal conditions, the circuit breakers can be used for infrequent switching of lines and infrequent starting of motors respectively.
● Circuit breakers for power distribution are used in distribution networks to distribute electrical energy and provide overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage protection for lines and power supply equipment.
● Circuit breakers for motor protection can be used in distribution networks for starting squirrel cage motors, breaking during operation, and providing overload and short-circuit protection.
● Based on their rated ultimate short-circuit breaking capacity (Icu), the circuit breakers are classified into four types: C-type (Economical), S-type (Standard), M-type (Higher Breaking Capacity), and H-type (High Breaking Capacity).
● This series of circuit breakers has an isolation function, and its corresponding symbol is: —
Compliance Standards
● KFM2 series circuit breakers comply with the following standards:
● GB14048.2 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Circuit-breakers"
● GB14048.4 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Contactors and motor-starters - Electromechanical contactors and motor-starters"
● IEC 60947-2 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 2: Circuit-breakers"
Operating Environment and Installation Conditions
● Installation site altitude not exceeding 2000m.
● Ambient air temperature not higher than +40°C and not lower than -5°C; the 24-hour average value not exceeding +35°C (except for special orders).
● Relative humidity of the air at the installation site: not exceeding 50% at a maximum temperature of +40°C; higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, e.g., up to 90% at 20°C. Special measures should be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes.
● Installation in locations without explosive hazardous media in the air and without gases or conductive dust sufficient to corrode metals and destroy insulation.
● Installation in locations free from rain and snow intrusion.
● Pollution degree: 3.
● Installation category: The installation category for the main circuit of the circuit breaker is III. The installation category for auxiliary and control circuits not connected to the main circuit is II.
● The circuit breaker shall be installed and used according to the requirements of the product's instruction manual.
