​Resistance to Damp Heat​

● EasyPact CVS circuit-breakers have successfully passed tests for extreme climatic conditions defined by the following standards:

IEC 60068-2-1: Dry cold (-55°C)
IEC 60068-2-2: Dry heat (+85°C)
IEC 60068-2-30: Damp heat (95% relative humidity at 55°C)
IEC 60068-2-52: Salt mist, severity level 2

​Environment​

● EasyPact CVS complies with the European environmental directive EC/2002/95 concerning the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).

● All EasyPact CVS production plants are certified to ISO 14001.
● EasyPact CVS circuit-breakers can be used between -25°C and +70°C. ​​Derating is required when the temperature exceeds 40°C (or 65°C for motor protection).​
● Circuit-breakers are designed for long-term operation under normal ambient and operating temperature conditions. They can also operate normally at ambient temperatures between -35°C and -25°C.
● Storage temperature range is -50°C to 85°C.

​Reliable Contact Position Indication with Isolation Function​

● All EasyPact CVS circuit-breakers comply with the isolation requirements defined in IEC standard 60947-2.

● The isolation position corresponds to the 0 (OFF) position.
● The operating handle can only indicate the "OFF" position when the contacts are physically open.
● Padlocking is only possible when the contacts are open.
● The reliability of the contact position indication system is not affected by the use of a rotary handle or motor operator.
● Testing confirms that the isolation function guarantees:
● Mechanical reliability of the contact position indication system.
● Absence of leakage current.
● Adequate overvoltage withstand capability between incoming and outgoing terminals.

​Installation in Type II Switchgear​

● All EasyPact CVS circuit-breakers are double-insulated (Class II). They can be installed in Type II switchgear (compliant with IEC 61140 and 60664-1) without reducing the switchgear's insulation class.

● This characteristic is maintained even when the circuit-breaker is equipped with a rotary handle or motor operator.
