Series Overview
Introduction to Omart NSC Series MCCBs
- Omart NSC is an international product line introduced by Schneider Electric, targeting the industrial control field and OEM manufacturing. It provides a more complete range of MCCBs.
Omart
- Rated operational current: 15A to 630A
- Number of poles: 3-pole, 4-pole
- Applications: Protection of various industrial equipment, industrial control panels, and motors.
- Industry Applications: Plastics machinery, textile machinery, machine tools, lifting & elevator industries, construction machinery, HVAC, water treatment, and pump industries.
- Note: Accessories with an orange background are suitable for the 60–125A series; accessories with a blue background are suitable for the 160–630A series.
Environmental Protection of Omart NSC MCCBs
- Schneider Electric has a long-term environmental policy.
- As part of this policy, the Omart NSC series is designed to meet current and future environmental standards, from initial product design through to end-of-life maintenance.
- Materials used in Omart NSC do not cause environmental pollution.
- Production facilities are pollution-free and comply with ISO 14001 standards.
- Materials are recyclable.
- Power consumption per pole is very low and negligible.
- Omart NSC MCCBs and accessories enable efficient recycling and reuse.
Active Response to RoHS Directive, Building a Green Home Together
- RoHS Definition: The Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS) Directive was formally published by the European Commission on February 13, 2003.
- Omart NSC 15A-630A main units fully comply with the RoHS Directive.
- Products free of hazardous substances (Green Products).
- Clear product information (Material Declarations).
- Meets OEM export requirements.
- Provides additional value.
Coverage Area
- The RoHS Directive covers 25 EU member states and 3 European Economic Area (EEA) countries.
Omart NSC MCCBs and Auxiliary Equipment Comply with the Following International Standards
- International Standards:
- IEC 60947-1 General rules
- IEC 60947-2 Circuit-breakers
- GB 14048.1
- GB 14048.2
- Also complies with NMA/JIS/CE.
- Main units below 400A comply with the EU RoHS Directive.
Pollution Degree
- Omart NSC MCCBs have a Pollution Degree rating of 3 and can operate in Pollution Degree 3 environments as defined in the IEC 60947 standard (industrial environments).
Environmental Protection
- Omart NSC MCCBs are manufactured with full consideration for environmental protection. Most components are recyclable. Main units below 400A comply with RoHS Directive standards.
Ambient Temperature
- Omart NSC MCCBs can be used from -25°C to +70°C. Derating should be considered above 50°C (for the 630A unit, derating should be considered above 40°C).
Resistance to Damp Heat
- Omart NSC MCCBs have passed tests for harsh environments as specified in the following standards:
- IEC 60068-2-2 Dry heat (+85°C)
- IEC 60068-2-30 Damp heat, cyclic
Isolation Function with Reliable Contact Position Indication
- The isolation position corresponds to "0" (OFF position).
- The operating handle only reaches the OFF position when the contacts are genuinely open.
- Padlocking is only possible when the contacts are open.
- Adding a rotary handle does not compromise the reliability of the contact system.
- Isolation Function Guarantees:
- Mechanical reliability of the contact position indication system.
- No leakage current.
- Overvoltage withstand capability between line and load terminals.
Mounting Position
- Omart NSC MCCBs can be installed in various types of switchboards. They can be mounted horizontally, vertically, or flat without degrading their electrical performance.
Vibration and Shock Resistance (Applicable to 60/100/125A Series)
- Omart NSC MCCBs can withstand mechanical vibration and shock, complying with IEC 60068-2-6 and JIS C8370/8371.
- Lloyd's Register Test:
- 2 to 13 Hz: Amplitude ±1.5mm
- 13 to 100 Hz: Continuous acceleration 1g
- 16.7 Hz: Continuous acceleration 2g
Power Supply Connection
- Omart NSC MCCBs can be fed from either the top or bottom. Reverse feeding does not affect their electrical performance.
Dimensions
- Omart NSC MCCBs, ranging from 15A to 630A, feature only three frame sizes, covering all ratings and breaking capacities (including the 60/100/125A and 160/250A series). These dimensions offer a significant advantage among comparable products in the MCCB market.
Trip Units
- Omart NSC 60/100/125/160/250/400/630A are equipped with Thermal-Magnetic (TM) trip units, providing overload and short-circuit protection.
- Omart NSCV 160/250A are equipped with Thermal-Magnetic (TM) trip units, providing overload, short-circuit, and earth leakage protection.
- Omart NSC 630A is equipped with an Electronic (STR) trip unit, providing overload and short-circuit protection, with adjustable short-circuit protection settings from 2 to 10 times the rated current.
