Series Overview
Series Overview Outline
• The DZ20 series Molded Case Circuit Breakers (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breakers) have a rated insulation voltage of 690V, AC 50Hz, a rated operational voltage of 400V and below, and a rated current from 16A to 1250A. They are generally used for power distribution. Among them, circuit breakers with Y-type and J-type frames of 225A and below, and Y-type frames of 400A can also be used for motor protection. Under normal conditions, the circuit breakers can be used respectively for infrequent switching of circuits and infrequent starting of motors, and also for overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage protection of circuits and power supply equipment.
• The product specifications include four-pole circuit breakers, mainly used in three-phase four-wire systems with AC 50Hz, rated voltage 400V and below, and rated current from 16A to 630A. They ensure complete disconnection of the power supply for safety.
• Motor protection circuit breakers are used in distribution networks for starting and disconnecting motors, as well as for overload, short-circuit, and undervoltage protection of motors.
• Three-pole products in this series with rated currents of 630A and below also feature a transparent cover. The cover is made of a new type of high-temperature resistant, high-strength polycarbonate material, allowing visual confirmation of the contact status (open/closed). They are widely used in temporary power supply locations such as construction sites.
• This product complies with the GB/T 14048.2 standard.
• Structural Features
• This series of circuit breakers is based on the Y-type as the fundamental product, consisting of four parts: an insulated housing, an operating mechanism, a contact system, and an overcurrent release. The operating mechanism of the circuit breaker has the function of enabling rapid closing and opening of the contacts.
• For four-pole circuit breakers, the neutral pole (N) is located at the far right position. During opening and closing operations, the neutral pole is specified to be the first to close and the last to open compared to the other three poles.
• Normal Working and Installation Conditions
• Ambient Air Temperature: Upper limit: +40°C. Lower limit: -5°C. The average value over any 24-hour period shall not exceed +35°C.
