Series Overview
Series Overview
- GV2 ME, GV2 P, GV3 ME, and GV3 P motor circuit breakers are all 3 - pole thermal - magnetic circuit breakers. They are designed for the control and protection of electric motors and comply with IEC 60947 - 2 and IEC 60947 - 4 - 1 standards.
- GV2 ME and GV2 P circuit breakers adopt a connection design with screw clamp terminals.
- GV2 ME circuit breakers can be connected using ring - type terminal lugs or spring clamp terminal lugs.
- Spring clamp terminal connections ensure safe, long - lasting, and reliable clamping. They can withstand harsh environments, vibrations, and impacts, and are especially effective when using flexible wires without ferrules. Each connection can connect two independent conductors.
- When the motor circuit breaker is used independently, local manual control is adopted. When the motor circuit breaker is connected to a contactor, remote automatic control is adopted.
- Motor protection is provided by the thermal - magnetic protection element in the motor circuit breaker.
- The electromagnetic element (short - circuit protection) has a non - adjustable tripping threshold, equivalent to 13 times the maximum rated current of the thermal circuit breaker.
- The thermal element (overload protection) includes automatic compensation for ambient temperature changes.
- The rated operating current of the motor is indicated by the setting knob 4.
- Personnel protection is also provided. All live components have been protected and cannot be directly touched by fingers from the front panel.
- Due to the addition of under - voltage tripping, the circuit breaker can be opened under under - voltage conditions. This way, when the normal voltage is restored, the sudden start of the machine can be avoided, because to restart the motor, the “start button” must be pressed.
- After adding a separate tripping device, the opening of this element can be controlled remotely.
- The controllers of open - mounted and enclosed motor circuit breakers can be locked in the stop position “O” with 4 padlocks.
- Because these circuit breakers have isolation functions, in the open position, an appropriate insulation distance will be left, and the actual position of the moving contact is indicated by the controller position indicator.
- Due to their universal installation methods, these motor circuit breakers can be easily installed on any equipment: fixed with screws or clamped and installed on symmetrical, asymmetrical, or combined rails.
