3RB20 and 3RB21 electronic overload relays are designed for the protection of induction motors in sinusoidal 50/60 Hz voltage networks. These relays are not suitable for protecting single - phase AC and DC loads.
3RU21 thermal overload relays or electronic overload relays 3RB22 to 3RB24 can be used for single - phase AC loads. For DC loads, it is recommended to use 3RU21 thermal overload relays.

Environmental Conditions

This device is not easily affected by external influences (such as impact, corrosive environmental conditions, aging, and temperature changes).
For the temperature range from - 25 °C to + 60 °C, 3RB20/3RB21 electronic overload relays will perform temperature compensation according to the IEC 60947 - 4 - 1 standard.
For 3RB20 and 3RB21 electronic overload relays of sizes S6, S10, and S12, the upper setting value of the setting range must be reduced by a certain factor when the ambient temperature is greater than 50 °C.
