Environmental Characteristics
- TM3 expansion module components are industrial devices of Class A in Zone B designed in accordance with the released IEC/CISPR 11 standard.
- If used in an environment other than that described in this standard, or in an environment that does not conform to the specifications of this manual, the ability to meet the requirements of electromagnetic compatibility (if there is conducted interference and/or radiated interference) may be reduced.
- All TM3 expansion module components comply with the requirements for placement (CE) defined for open equipment in EN61131 - 2.
- These components must be installed in enclosures dedicated to specific environmental conditions to minimize the possibility of accidental exposure to dangerous voltages.
- Using a metal enclosure can improve the electromagnetic interference resistance of TM3 expansion module components.
- Using an enclosure with a lockable access mechanism can minimize unauthorized access as much as possible.
- All TM3 expansion module components have electrical isolation between internal circuits and input/output channels.
