Series Overview
Series Overview
Small General - Purpose Relays for High - Power Switching
- Standard products have obtained UL, CSA, and SEV certifications and meet the requirements of electrical safety laws.
- With arc - shielding.
- Withstand voltage up to 2,000V.
- Newly added diode - built - in type and CR - built - in type series.
- Equipped with IR and VDE - certified models.
- 1, 2 - pole types have AC coil models corresponding to 4 rated power supplies and DC coil models corresponding to 2 rated power supplies (applicable coil models: AC100/110, AC110/120, AC200/220, AC220/240, DC100/110).
- 3, 4 - pole types have AC coil models corresponding to 4 rated power supplies and DC coil models corresponding to 2 rated power supplies (applicable coil models: AC100/110, AC200/220, DC100/110).
Usage Precautions
- When installing top - mounted types (LY1F, LY2F, LY3F, LY4F) on the installation case, use 2 M3 screws for tightening. (Normal tightening torque: 0.98N·m)
- When using quick - connect terminals, select the appropriate FASTON socket size according to the rated current of the contacts.
- When plugging and unplugging quick - connect terminals, do not apply excessive force. In addition, insert them straight to avoid oblique insertion or simultaneous insertion of multiple pins.
- The single contacts of LY are suitable for power - load switches. Do not use them for small - load switches with signal - class currents less than 100mA.
Regarding Diodes and CR Components Built into the Relay
- The diodes and CR components built into the relay are mainly used to absorb the reverse voltage generated by the relay coil. If the diodes or CR components bear surge voltages from the outside, the components will be damaged.
- Therefore, when there is a risk of external surge voltages damaging the components, take surge absorption measures.
When LY1 is Used with the Following Sockets and the Current is Over 10A
- When using relays of PTF - 08 - PU, PTF - 08 - PU - L, PTF08A, PTF08A - E, PT08 with LY1 in combination, please short - circuit between terminals No.① - ②, ③ - ⑧, ⑤ - ⑥ of the sockets respectively.
Regarding Relay Replacement
- When replacing relays for maintenance and other reasons, to prevent malfunction of the relay and electric shock accidents, be sure to cut off the power supply to the load and the relay coil.
Regarding Assembly and Disassembly of the Fixed Bracket
- When inserting and removing the fixed bracket from the socket, pay attention to wearing protective gloves to prevent hand injuries caused by the fixed bracket.
