Series Overview

Application and Scope

● The circuit breakers are suitable for circuits with AC 50Hz, rated operational voltage up to 1000V, and rated current from 10A to 800A. They are used for distributing electrical energy and for infrequent closing and opening under normal operating conditions. They also provide protection against overload, short-circuit, and under-voltage for lines and equipment. Circuit breakers with rated currents up to 630A can also be used for the infrequent starting and breaking during operation of squirrel-cage motors, providing protection against motor overload, short-circuit, and under-voltage.

● Circuit breakers may feature an overload alarm without tripping function. When the line is overloaded, a circuit breaker equipped with this function will not trip but only output an overload signal, ensuring power supply continuity. This meets the requirement of GB50054 Clause 6.3.6: "For lines where overload disconnection would cause serious consequences, the overload protection shall not disconnect the line but may act on a signal."

● Circuit breakers can be derived into dedicated products for distributed photovoltaic (PV) grid connection, suitable for applications under the State Grid Corporation's 220V/380V distributed PV grid connection standards, complying with Q/GDW 1972 and Q/GDW 1973.

● Circuit breakers have an isolation function, indicated by the symbol: X.

● Circuit breakers comply with standards such as GB/T 14048.2 (IEC 60947-2, Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 2: Circuit-breakers) and GB/T 14048.4. They are available in various types: fixed type, plug-in type, withdrawable type, front-terminal connection, and rear-terminal connection.

Normal Service and Mounting Conditions

Ambient Air Temperature

● The average ambient air temperature does not exceed +35°C; users in environments exceeding +40°C must derate the circuit breaker. Products suitable for temperatures as low as -40°C are also available.

Altitude

● The altitude of the installation site does not exceed 2000m; users at altitudes exceeding 2000m must derate the circuit breaker.

Relative Humidity

● The relative humidity of the air at the installation site does not exceed 50% at +40°C, and higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, e.g., up to 95% at +20°C. Appropriate measures shall be taken against condensation caused by temperature changes.

Installation Environment

● Circuit breakers shall be installed in a medium without explosion hazard, free from gases and conductive dust sufficient to corrode metals and destroy insulation, and protected from rain and snow.

Pollution Degree

● Pollution Degree 3.

Installation Category

● The installation category for the main circuit of the circuit breaker is III. The installation category for all other auxiliary and control circuits is III.

Mounting Orientation

● The basic mounting orientation of the circuit breaker is vertical, but horizontal mounting is also possible.

Operation and Maintenance

● All characteristics and accessories of the circuit breaker are factory-set; no adjustment shall be made by the user during use.

● The circuit breaker handle can be in three positions, indicating ON, OFF, and Free-trip respectively. When the handle is in the free-trip position (middle position), pull the handle backward to reset the circuit breaker before closing it.
● Provided the user complies with storage and usage conditions, the period from the date of shipment by the manufacturer does not exceed 18 months, and the circuit breaker's seal marks are intact, the manufacturer shall replace or repair the product free of charge if it is damaged or fails to function normally due to manufacturing defects.
● To ensure personal safety and the safety of electrical equipment, the following must be strictly observed before putting the circuit breaker into operation:
● Read the product's instruction manual carefully before installation and use.
● Ensure the circuit breaker is put into service only under normal working conditions.
● Before installation, measure the insulation resistance of the circuit breaker with a 500V megohmmeter. At an ambient air temperature of 20°C ±5°C and relative humidity of 50%-70%, the insulation resistance should be no less than 10MΩ. Otherwise, the circuit breaker must be dried and can only be used after the insulation resistance meets the specified requirement.
● The position of the circuit breaker during installation can be chosen arbitrarily without affecting its performance. However, sufficient clearance must be maintained between the circuit breaker and the top, bottom, sides, panel of the compartment, and other circuit breakers. These clearances must satisfy the circuit breaker's safety distance requirements.
● During installation, secure the circuit breaker to the bracket or baseplate using standard mounting screws.
● Ensure that no conductive foreign objects fall onto the circuit breaker during installation.
● When connecting conductive busbars to the circuit breaker, ensure the connection is flat and free from any additional mechanical stress imposed on the circuit breaker to avoid damage to the circuit breaker and its characteristics.
● After installation is complete and before energizing the main circuit, the following prescribed operational tests must be performed. The circuit breaker can only be officially put into operation after ensuring everything is normal:
● Carefully inspect for any foreign objects that may have fallen onto the circuit breaker's conductive busbars. Remove any found immediately. Keep the circuit breaker clean.
● If the circuit breaker is equipped with electrical accessories or has a motor-operated mechanism, the user must connect the control circuit according to the secondary circuit wiring diagram provided in the instruction manual. Check that the rated operating voltages of the under-voltage release, shunt trip release, motor, etc., match the actual power supply voltage.
● Check whether the overcurrent protection (overload, short-circuit) current setting values of the circuit breaker meet the actual requirements.
● Only after completing the above checks can the secondary circuit be energized. At this point, the under-voltage release should pull in, allowing the circuit breaker to be closed.
● Manual Operation Test: Manually close and open the circuit breaker several times; it should operate normally.
● Electrical Operation Test: Electrically close and open the circuit breaker several times; it should operate normally.
● During use, users should periodically inspect the circuit breaker according to the above points.
● Periodically remove dust to maintain good insulation of the circuit breaker.
● After interrupting a short-circuit current, promptly inspect the circuit breaker. If it cannot continue to be used, it must be replaced with a new one.
